Nashville Technology Council Presents TechNet 2009

The Nashville Technology Council will be hosting their first ever TechNet event on Tuesday, February 24th. Due to the hard economic times, the Council has taken action to develop a new networking program called TechNet. TechNet is designed to:

Help unemployed technology workers find new jobs
Provide a direction to help them further their education
Provide future technology entrepreneurs with the tools and information needed to begin starting a new business
Provide networking opportunities

There will be three breakout sessions:

Business Plan Workshop (Entrepreneurs)
College Workshop on Advanced Degrees

Fifteen area academic institutions will be participating in this event as well as local area staffing and placement firms. Space for this event is going fast, so reserve your $100.00 tabletop today! DIRECTIONS to Paetec's office:
From the airport, get onto I-40 heading west for about 8 miles.
Next, head south on I-65 about 10 miles and exit onto Old Hickory Blvd heading west.
As you merge onto Old Hickory Blvd, you will want to get into the left lanes so that you can turn left onto Franklin Rd, which is at the first set of lights.
Once you have turned left onto Franklin heading South, you will go about ½ mile to the first light, where you will take a right onto Maryland Way.
Head west on Maryland way about 1 ½ miles, then take a right onto Westwood Place. (The last right before you get to Westwood Place is West Park Drive).
Once on Westwood Place, we are the 2nd building on the left on the first floor.

The May 2008 meeting was Tuesday May 20, 2008 at the Brentwood TN Cisco office. It was hosted by Sprint's Mike Greeson and Bill Dockery from Sprint, with a Sprint presentation on the topic of Sprint broadband wireless cellular data aircards in Cisco/Linksys network devices + WiMAX/Xohm.

1) From Nashville take I-65 SOUTH toward HUNTSVILLE
2) Merge onto OLD HICKORY BLVD / TN-254 W via EXIT 74B
toward BRENTWOOD. 0.4 miles
3) Turn LEFT onto FRANKLIN RD / US-31 / TN-6.
4) Go about 0.6 miles, through the 1st traffic light
5) Look for the Waverly building on your left, with a Cisco logo on the 1st floor left front glass window on
the building. Come inside, the Cisco office is on the 1st floor around the North side of the building.
6) If this is your 1st visit to the Cisco-Brentwood TN office you might call 615-221-2900 during normal business hours for directions.
